Family Home Evening with the Crowther's

Brandi and Sam had a Christmas party so Jody was watching Stockton and Preston. We went to Thanksgiving Point to look at the lights and feed the rain deer.

Boys!

I went outside Saturday to watch Stockton ride his sleigh. Instead of going down the hill. He wanted to go off the rocks on to our driveway. I told him you can't sleigh ride on cement. But being a boy he had to try and he said it was a lot of fun!

Who just turned four?

Preston wanted a Rudolf the Red Nose Rain Deer cake. He brought me a picture from a coloring book so that became his cake. His cousins came to the house and add pizza. We opened up presents, graped some food to donate to the the food back and went and looked at Christmas lights. We came back to the house and opened up presents for Preston! Happy Birthday Preston!

Gavins School Program

I got to go to Gavins School and listen to their School Program. The first grade put on the program. Wow there were a lot of first graders. Gavin was in the front row but was covered up by the audience so we couldn't see him very well. I did take a good picture after the program. I think he did an awesome job

Visiting with more of Gabe's family

We (John, Doris Jody Mckenzie and Skyler) meet at the care center with Alan and his girl firend, Ron, Amy and Kyle, Gil. Evelyn arrived later with her husband. We then went to the cenetary and had a small service for Rollie and barried his ashes at Grandpa Naults grave side. i thought it was thoughtful for Doris to do all of this.

Visiting family

The first day we visited with Doris in the morning and then went and visted Gabes Mom. She has been in a care center for about 11 years. She had a stoke and left her partially paralized. She doesn't recognize us. She doesn't hear and see to well. It was very sad to see. She cries a lot, and I can't blame her. It would be very hard to live that way. She use to like scarfs so when I was in Victoria Canada this summer I bought a scarf at the Empress Hotel. I know when she younger she would have enjoyed having such a nice scarf. I thought maybe somewhere in her mind she would for only a min appreciate the times she had nice scarfs in the past and enjoy this for a second. I wrapped it around her neck you can see in the picture.

After we visited with Grandma we went into Winnipeg and made our usual trip to the Roots store to bring home sweet shirts for the grandkids. Gabe was great because the one we usually go to has moved. We were told it was some where acoss town but when we got there we found no store. We went to another one several miles away and Gabe waited in the car with Skyler and Mckenzie while we shopped for the perfect sweat shirt for each grandchild.

I really enjoyed my time visiting with Doris. The kids were so good. I love to watch Jody with her kids you can tell every waking second she is consumed with her kids and what is best for them.

I wished the rest of my family could have came with us.
