We like to go to Thanksgiving Points Tulip festival. Jody brouht the treats, thanks goodness some were so hungry!

It is fun to share such a beautiful place with your family

It seems like we have waited for so long to see spring.

Hey are a couple of handsome guys and look how good the background works for them

What a beautiful back drop for my little pinces

I love to watch my grand kids. It reminds me of the days when i had time to lay on the grass and just enjoy the day.

Celebrating Easter

Our celebra- tion as a family.

I love to celebrate holidays with my family. Easter is a very special holiday. We usually do the Easter egg hunt on Saturday so we can celebrate the real purpose of Easter on Sunday. I am so thankful that Christ made the sacrifice for each of us so that we can strive to become better people as we often times make mistakes on our journey of life.

When I think of celebrating Easter for our Saturday celebration, i envision green grass and flower. Last year Easter was earlier so we ware coats to do the Easter Egg Hunt outside. This year it rained all day Saturday. I had given the grand kids the choice of doing an Easter egg hunt at Thanksgiving Point or at my house. They chose my house, which ended up being a very good choice because of the weather. They are making magnets for their Mom's refrigerators. It looks like it takes a lot of concentration. Than we made Easter bags so we had something together our eggs.

After we did our crafts we had some contest. Who can stand on one foot the longest, who could do the most jumping jacks. who could do the most set ups... Everyone won a price to Targert(gift card)

The Flashlight hunt started at dusk. the Easter Bunny had hid the eggs in the basement. Mckenzie just couldn't believe how nice the Easter Bunny was to do this for them. Its a week later and I am still finding Easter eggs in the downstairs. Good thing we didn't use real eggs.

Skyler and the baby Turkeys

Skyler loves to check out the baby turkeys. Gabe bought four baby turkeys. He plans on buying some baby chickens next week. We usually have a dozen chickens and we enjoy their eggs. It does make life a little difficult when one of the chickens end up being a Roaster.

Wow, finally almost got to 70 today. This was so needed. It has been a long Winter. Unfortunately there is rain and snow the rest of the week. But it gave me hope that Spring may come yet.

Happy Birthday Aleisa! Actually her birthday isn't until tomorrow but Daison suggested I bring the cake to her a day early. You know Moms sometimes just don't get the opportunities to indulge our girly side. I thought I would make her a really girly cake! This is our Vickie cake all dressed up. The Vickie cake is a chocolate cake with whipped cream filling. Usually we but chocolate butter cream on for frosting but this time I iced the cake with a butter cream icing and than I put chocolate fondant over the cake. The shoes are chocolate. The flowers and beads are fondant. Aleisa is a great daughter in law and I can hardly wait for our girls night out this month! Check out http://sweetsugarmamascakery.blogspot.com for more pictures.
